J.R. Gomez y Conjunto Bandits
Based out of Austin, TX, The Live Music Capitol City of the World, originally from Plainview, TX, J.R. Gomez began his career playing with local bands at a young age. He would then move on to join bands that are more popular in the Tejano industry such as La Fiebre and Xcellencia. Not long after, J.R. received a phone call to join Jay Perez and The Band. The band he idolized and dreamed of playing with most of his early career. Learning so much from Jay, he began to make a name for himself in the industry. J.R. was with Jay Perez off and on for 15 years. During a time he was off, he joined Super Grupo Mazz, where he earned his two Grammy Awards. J.R. was becoming known for his entertaining shows and energetic stage presence. This caught the eye of Super Producer and bass player A.B. Quintanilla. J.R. started as a backup singer and within a year became lead vocalist, which allowed him to travel throughout the United States, Mexico, Central and South America with A.B and The Kumbia King All Starz. Now with years of experience J.R. is ready to light up the stage once again with his solo career by taking the Conjunto scene by storm. Although playing with many Tejano bands, J.R. has always loved Conjunto music. He enjoyed listening and opening for bands like The Hometown Boys, Los Arcos Hermanos Pena, and many more. Now with his new Conjunto band, Los Conjunto Bandits, J.R. is currently in the studio with Producer and Bajo Sexto Master Max Baca from Los
Texmaniacs. J.R. is ready to show the world his talent and love of music. Be on the lookout for the latest single, Fallaste Corazon, from J.R. Gomez y Los Conjunto Bandits.
