Plain White T's - (Set time: 9:30 PM)
Plain White T's
Plain White T’s - composed of Tom Higgenson, Tim Lopez, Dave Trio, De’Mar Hamilton and Mike Retondo - kicked off their vibrant career in the Chicago suburbs in 1997, playing a unique blend of pop, punk, and melody-driven rock and roll in basements and clubs across the metro area.

Two decades later, the quintet has become a global success, with thousands of shows, a string of multi-platinum hit singles (“Rhythm of Love,” “1, 2, 3, 4”) and one of the most downloaded songs of all time under their belts: GRAMMY-nominated “Hey There Delilah.”

The quintet first came to Fearless Records in early 2000, releasing their certified gold albums, All That We Needed, and later in conjunction with Hollywood Records, Every Second Counts, featuring mega-hit single "Hey There Delilah," which propelled the band to superstardom and lead them to become one of the most praised bands in American rock. In total, the band has released seven full-length studio albums, creating epic rock songs and acoustic-leaning ballads that have made them a household name.

Now, Plain White T's are thrilled to return to Fearless Records for the next exciting chapter of their career with a brand-new single called “Land of the Living,” – the first taste of new music from the group since their self-released 2015 album, American Nights.

"Fearless was the first label to ever support us and believe in the band, so it just seems so natural to reunite with them after all these years," says vocalist and guitarist Tom Higgenson. "Land of the Living is a song that can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. For us, it's about following your passion no matter what, and enjoying the ups and downs along the way."

Plain White T's teamed up with Project Greenlight Digital Studios (PGLDS) to create the music video for "Land of The Living." PGLDS is an open, story-driven, creative community that exists to empower the next generation of great filmmakers. In July of 2016, PGLDS launched a nationwide search for an independent director to create the video. Since the release of “Land of the Living”, Plain White T’s have gone back to their roots, taking the stage at this year’s Alternative Press Music Awards, where they celebrated the 10th anniversary of their chart-topping hit “Hey There Delilah,” and performing at the Vans Warped Tour in Cleveland, OH.

The band is currently in the studio to record their new album, slated for release in early 2018.
Booher - (Set time: 8:30 PM)
In a city where most of Austin’s lyrical depth is tied up in the postpunk and in the country scene (presumably), Austinite Michael Booher carves out a space of emotional literacy into a chronically indifferent scene, carving letters to a lost love like one would carve letters of fidelity into a playground tree.

Pensive and uplifting, debut album Funny Tears is all the fist pumping good times of an all-American band steeped in the golden age of jagged catharsis –a continuation of the best days of storied alterna-something-something largely thought lost and not to be heard from again.

Carrying on the hallowed ground where Replacements, Pavement, Springsteen, American Music Club and the Afghan Whigs would pitch their tents for at least an evening, Funny Tears is satisfyingly tangled up in a man often at odds with himself, yet welcoming, warm and universal enough to pull in the most unlikely visitor. Or to pull up an old friend out of the dumps and tell them there’s always a way.

Booher’s songs written from a rollercoaster are all his own –the view from the top is thrilling, and the plummet into the uncertainty that grips us all is inspired and tugs more than a little on the heartstrings.

There’s a plan and a car outside/but we won’t ever leave/Raise a glass when the engine dies/just don’t change your mind starts “Find Out,” –a powerful waltzing confessional to another as the weight of an uncertain mind looms large and begins to add up. In struggle there is beauty, and beauty there is hope and a way through to tomorrow, with you, without you, it’ll be what it’ll be.

Clocked in at 37 minutes Funny Tears is as a celebration of life’s intricacies, foot-tapping stories filed from the frontlines of a rat maze that may or may not have any cheese.

Produced by Mike McCarthy (Spoon, And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead, Patty Griffin, Heartless Bastards), Funny Tears is a collection of short sharp rockers and big orchestrations –‘Ouroboros,’ ‘Autographin' Bibles,’ ‘Neighbor’ amid slow-builders ‘Funny Tears’ and ‘As Soon as I know.’

The songs are that of an inquisitive and restless observer, freed rather than burdened by the intensity of the experience, producing a level of layered creative instrumentation, vocal hooks and uncontrived meaning.

Rising above the rampant anonymity of the saturated Austin scene in the course of six years afrontman/songwriter for Zykos, Booher will hit the road in 2017 in support of Funny Tears, further adding to tour mileage that includes stages shared with the likes of Explosions in the Sky, Cursive, TV on the Radio, The Hold Steady and a couple of one offs with Interpol The Shins and The Walkmen.
